Annotation
Management Information Systems (Business Informatics) is a young science and interdisciplinary field. The progressive digitalisation of business, for example, through the proliferation and use of the Internet or mobile technologies, leads to a variety of digital services and information on the basis of which new, innovative products and services can be developed. Internet companies (such as Google or Amazon) and also the increasing technological orientation of traditional companies (such as auto makers) illustrate this trend impressively. The focus of Internet Business and IT Security of the Bachelor's programme at the University of Regensburg addresses these developments. Topics here include information management, foundations, business models and processes in Internet business, security management, Internet technology and project management. In addition to teaching methodological fundamentals, a team-oriented approach is employed in many subjects of the programme in connection with semester-long projects. Cooperation with numerous European universities under ERASMUS+ offers numerous exchange programmes worldwide.
