Annotation
The lateral entry Master's degree in Teaching opens up an attractive, alternative educational and career path for graduates of Bachelor's degree courses with a focus on Computer Science by enabling them to become teachers. The degree programme does not replace the previous teacher training course, but opens the door for prospective computer scientists to enter the traineeship for teachers of Secondary Level I and Secondary Level II (LS 1+2), i.e. the later teaching profession at grammar schools and community schools.
The degree programme includes subject-specific, didactic and practical coursework as well as practical experience at a school. It consists of a basic subject area, in which mainly pedagogical content is taught, and the double subject computer science.
Graduates of teaching-related degree programmes cannot be admitted to this lateral entry Master's programme.
