Der Studiengang wird als additiver Studiengang angeboten, das heißt, er baut auf die zuvor abgeschlossene Therapieausbildung auf, die mit 3 Semestern angerechnet wird. Somit verbleibt eine Studiendauer an der Jade Hochschule von 3 Semestern (nach erfolgreicher Anerkennung werden die Studierenden in das 4. Semester eingestuft).
