Upon successful completion, the MA in Health Education equips graduation:
- to critically examine professional and educational theories and establish their connection to educational practice
- to work in a team and demonstrate empathy towards others in relation to the role of an educator in vocational training, professional development and continuing education
- to evaluate the effectiveness of their own professional actions and to adapt or develop new strategies
- to recognise social developments
- to participate in scientific research through knowledge of various research methods
- to integrate knowledge into more complex contexts as well as to act responsibly and engage in civil society and civic participation
- to independently deepen their specialised and educational-didactic knowledge
Admission requirements
The admission requirement for the MA in Health Education at Döpfer University of Applied Sciences is proof of a first professionally qualifying degree, upon which the Master´s degree programme (MA) in Medical Education builds, e.g. a Bachelor’s degree (210 ECTS) in Medical Education, Nursing Education or similar.
The Master’s degree programme can be completed with either a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, whereby the modules in the first two semesters differ in part.
