Target group

The degree course is aimed at prospective students with a Diploma degree, Bachelor’s academic degree or Master’s academic degree in (social) pedagogical and/or artistic subjects, provided that knowledge of artistic processes as well as competencies in pedagogical/social areas can be demonstrated.

Annotation

The Master's degree programme "Performing Arts in Social Fields" offers students an application-oriented degree course that is artistic and academic in equal measure. This includes the theoretical/practical examination of the media of dance, video, photography, audio/music, theatre, art and performance as well as dealing with discourse on intermediality, artistic research, participation and performativity.

Students are enabled to performatively grasp social, cultural and individual issues, to research them with scientific and aesthetic methods and to directly influence them with performative projects and participation procedures in the social field. After graduation, they will be able to develop and implement artistic/performative and cultural projects tailored to specific target groups and social spaces.

Admission requirements:
-Degree course completed in a relevant course of study with a (social)educational and/or artistic orientation with a standard period of study of at least six semesters worth at least 180 ECTS credits, provided that knowledge of artistic procedures and competencies in educational/social areas can be demonstrated.
