Annotation
Die Systembiologie ist eine innovative interdisziplinäre Forschungsrichtung, die sich kontinuierlich weiterentwickelt. Sie hat zum Ziel, die dynamischen Abläufe in einer Zelle, einem Organ oder einem Organismus zu verstehen und abzubilden. Im zweisprachigen Master-Studiengang "Genome Based Systems Biology" wird genau dieser Ansatz verfolgt.
Durch den rasanten Fortschritt hinsichtlich neuer Hochdurchsatzmethoden in der biologischen und medizinischen Forschung können Interessierte in der Genomik, Transkriptomik, Proteomik und Metabolomik umfangreiche Daten erheben. Durch deren Analyse und das Verknüpfen der einzelnen Ebenen wird der Weg frei für theoretische Ansätze und computergestützte Modelle, die biologische Prozesse simulieren.
Admission requirements
Admission requirements for the course are:
Completed Bachelor's degree in Biosciences (or a related subject e.g. Chemistry, Nanophysics) or another first professionally qualifying degree from an institution of higher education with a standard period of study of at least 3 years and components of at least 60 credit points (CPs) in Biology or related disciplines\;
Proven proficiency in German\;
Successful completion of a written application procedure which, among other things, demonstrates motivation and academic aptitude for this degree course.
