Within seven semesters, the graduates of the degree programme acquire a Bachelor of Science in Applied Midwifery Science and a state professional licence to practise as a midwife.

Admission requirements

A general higher education entrance qualification or the subject-restricted higher education entrance qualification appropriate to the selected degree course, as well as a study and training contract with a company or social institution. If proof of aptitude is also provided, applicants with a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification or a professional qualification compliant to the regulations governing access to higher education for professionals (BerufsHZVO) may also be admitted. The degree program integrates with the training as midwife / maternity nurse.
For the Applied Midwifery Science degree course, admission requirements are assessed in accordance with Section 10 Midwifery Act (HebG).
